Minimalist Makeup Collection

I posted a in-depth tour of my humble makeup collection on Youtube so I thought I share it here on the blog also!

This makeup collection is edited down from a larger one filled with products I no longer loved or used. I also downsized my collection to facilitate my year traveling and living abroad! Now that I'm back stateside my collection is starting to re-expand, but I'm only making room for what I love the most. I will share an updated collection soon!

Hope you enjoy, and if you do please share this video!

Winter OOTD

I know what you're thinking....Stacey, where's your jacket!? I must be a mind reader huh? Well, first of all, I was a bit chilly during this shoot. However, I do live in a relatively warm climate so it was bearable.

Now back to business! Here are a few style tips that will help you elevate any dull winter look to fashion wonderland status instantly!

1. Try monochrome with a punch of color. Jewel tones look stellar in the winter months on any skin tone. Here I'm sporting a wine skirt from Old Navy but you can try an emerald scarf, a sapphire bag or a citrine blouse.

2. Go bold with your lips. A neutral eye and face paired with a bold lip (cue those jewel tones again) is a perfect statement for bringing spunk to the more dreary days.

3.  Transition Fall/Spring clothes with layers. My go-to style staples for a transitional wardrobe are tights and leggings. Who says you have to pack up your favorite spring dresses or skirts every winter? I say, no way! Simply through on thick leggings for warmth and twirl your heart away.

Let me know your favorite style tips for staying fashionable in the winter. I'll see you in the comments below!

Red Vibes | OOTD

Sometimes you see a huge red wall when you're going out with your girls and you have to stop and snap some pics. What can I say? I'm a sucker for colorful walls. Today's OOTD is simple and minimal yet still feminine. Just how I like my wardrobe to be! The Tshirt dress from ZARA is so comfy and casual and easy to dress up or down. I've paired it with a long gem necklace from a friend. I also threw on a pair of black tights with a run down the right leg for 'character'. However, the real showstoppers are the pair of 'vintage' leopard print flats from Target circa 2012. By the way, animal print is totally a neutral color.

Outfit Details:

Tshirt dress- ZARA
Tights- Target
Leopard print flats- Target
Pendant Necklace- Unknown
Handbag- DKNY via Marshalls

Much love,

NOLA Style

Beignets, Mardi Gras beads and Bourbon Street oh my! My recent girls trip to New Orleans was amazing. We ate, ate and ate some more but didn't fail to hit some major attractions in between. It was so lovely to catch a break from the grind of grad school and spend time with friends, celebrating a birthday and exploring a new city.
