London Diary
One of my absolute favorite things to do in life is explore a new city, neighborhood or country. I just can't get enough of local architecture, street vendors, city parks, and delicious cuisine. Anywhere there's good food and beautiful sights, I'm there!
For the next couple months I'll be calling London-town home and of course I'm enjoying strolling along side streets, getting lost and eating my way through this rich city. Today I found myself in Hyde Park which is a large expanse of green space, 350 acres to be exact, which houses several monuments including the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain. Hyde Park is one of London's eight Royal Parks and features the gorgeous Serpentine, a 40 acre man made recreational lake. For me, it was a great place to briefly escape the bustle and reconnect with center. I even met a new friend, a rather large dog that caused great surprise when he nudged me in backside!
But before I made it to the park I passed through shops and residential roads off Oxford Street.
But if you know me then you know my sweet tooth is one not to be messed around with so I had to stop by my favorite waffle stand on Oxford Street, Wafflemeister, just to get the party poppin' in my mouth.
I spent the rest of the day burning these oh so worth it calories while exploring Hyde Park
Don't you just hate it when you can't quite capture the beauty of a sunset in pictures? Yeah me too...but here's to always trying anyway! Enjoy the video!
I hope you enjoyed my first London Diary and be sure to stay tuned for more adventures!
